A popular spot for birding
During the day, Nature Center is
probably a favorite spot for most people who love birding. There are over 200
bird species have been documented in this urban nature park. There is also a
bird walk event that is happening every now and then, that allows visitors to
take part. No prior birding experience is necessary. However, to have a great
view of the place and proper glimpse of the birds, one should carry his/her own
binocular including a field guide if one prefers, hat, sturdy shoes, and water.

and many more.
Best place for hiking- Children’s
favorite outing
Nature Center offers several trails-
a paved 1/4 Mile trail, a One Mile Trail, and a Two Mile trail. The trail
starts and ends as a spur of the One Mile Trail. Most of these trails can be
combined for one big adventure or shortened for toddler waddles. Each trail
offers unique features and different habitats local to Southern CA. If you are
taking your kids along, One Mile trail is perfect for them to explore.
You can explore clockwise and follow
the trail past the Nature building and turn left just after the bridge. The
trail gently winds through the trees, making its way to an opening where it is
fun to play in fallen leaves. Near the end it will descend downhill, looping
back to where you came from. Nature Center also has a building that has a lot
of exhibits, including live bugs and snakes and interactive light displays.
Family night walk that you should not
miss
During the warmer months, the park
holds a family night walk, and each walk has its own particular theme. There
are living creatures to see at night. One can scan the sky and treetops to spot
beautiful owls, bugs, and birds. When the sky grows darker, you can rely more
on our other senses. You are will be pleased to feel and smell the scents
around you—such as the sage near the stream bank and the night-blooming flowers
that suddenly seem more pungent. You can also listen more attentively, and
value your sense of touch, which tells us when we’ve encountered a spider web
on the trail. There is no denying that nature that the feeling you are likely
to get will give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Besides the amazing Nature Center in
El Dorado, there are many other beautiful places that you can visit. You can
also look for affordable motels in Placerville, CA if you are visiting
